Privacy Policy & Website Terms of Use
What this website collects, how we use it, and the basic terms for using sloKaraoke.com.
Effective date: August 20, 2026
Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
sloKaraoke provides hosted karaoke, DJ and event-production services in California. This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through sloKaraoke.com and communications that begin through this website.
2. Information we collect
Information you choose to provide. If you use our Plan Your Party form, you may provide your name, email address, phone number, event date, location or venue, event type, approximate guest count, indoor/outdoor setting, experiences you are interested in, and whatever details you include in your message.
If you are asking us to provide karaoke, DJ or production services at an adult-only, clothing-optional, naturist, alternative-lifestyle, after-dark or otherwise unconventional private event, you may voluntarily include relevant logistical details. Please share only what is reasonably necessary for us to understand and respond to your request.
Direct communications. If you email, call or text us, we receive the information you choose to send and the contact information associated with that communication.
Basic website and security data. Our web host, WordPress and related infrastructure may automatically create ordinary technical logs such as IP address, browser or user-agent information, date and time of requests, requested pages, error information, and security or anti-spam records. We use this information to operate, troubleshoot and protect the site.
3. How we use information
- To respond to inquiries and communicate with you.
- To plan, quote, book and provide requested karaoke, DJ or event-production services.
- To maintain appropriate business, accounting and legal records.
- To prevent spam, fraud, abuse and security problems.
- To maintain and improve the website and our services.
- To comply with legal obligations and protect our rights or the safety of others when reasonably necessary.
4. Cookies, analytics and advertising
The site may use cookies that are necessary for WordPress administration, security or basic site functionality. Public marketing attribution does not require a marketing cookie or browser storage: tagged links may carry short source, campaign and creative labels in the page URL. When an intentionally tagged marketing page loads, the browser may send a small first-party request that increments aggregate counters for the campaign, landing page and resulting inquiry. This request does not use a marketing cookie or browser storage, and the aggregate campaign report does not store the visitor’s name, email address, IP address, user agent, advertising identifier, cookie identifier or cross-site tracking identifier. The site and inquiry form continue to work if cookies, browser storage or this tracking request are disabled or blocked. As of the effective date above, we do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, behavioral advertising or cross-site advertising trackers on this website.
We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
5. Do Not Track and privacy preference signals
Browsers may offer “Do Not Track,” Global Privacy Control or similar privacy signals. Because sloKaraoke currently does not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use the site to track visitors across unrelated websites for targeted advertising, those signals do not change our present practices. If our tracking or sharing practices materially change, we will update this policy and implement any response required by applicable law.
6. When we may share information
We may disclose information only as reasonably necessary to operate the business, including to categories of service providers such as website hosting, email, backup, security or technical-support providers; professional advisers; or authorities when disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights or safety. We may also disclose information with your consent or as part of a legitimate business transfer, subject to applicable law.
We do not authorize service providers to use inquiry information for their own unrelated marketing.
7. How long we keep information
We keep inquiry, booking and communication records only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which they were collected, for an active or reasonably anticipated business relationship, for accounting or recordkeeping needs, to resolve disputes, or to satisfy legal obligations. Retention can vary by record type. When information is no longer reasonably needed, we may delete or anonymize it.
8. Your choices and requests
You may contact us to ask about personal information you have provided to us, or to request correction or deletion. We may need to verify the request, and we may retain information when reasonably necessary or legally required. Depending on where you live and which privacy laws apply, you may have additional rights that we will honor when applicable.
Privacy requests can be sent to events@sloKaraoke.com.
9. Children’s privacy
The website inquiry process is intended for adults arranging events. We do not knowingly collect personal information through the website from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted personal information to us, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
11. Third-party links
The site may link to services we do not control, such as Instagram or other third-party websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
12. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this policy as the website, our services or legal requirements change. The current version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
Website Terms of Use
1. Scope of these Terms
These Terms govern use of sloKaraoke.com. They are not the complete terms for a booked event. Event services may be governed by a separate proposal, invoice, contract, booking confirmation or other written agreement. If an event agreement conflicts with these website Terms on an event-specific issue, the event agreement controls.
2. Website information is not a booking
Website descriptions are general information about our services and capabilities. Availability, pricing, event scope and special arrangements are not final until confirmed by sloKaraoke. Sending an inquiry does not reserve a date or create a service contract.
3. Our role at adult-friendly or alternative private events
sloKaraoke may provide karaoke, DJ and event-production services at lawful adult-only, clothing-optional, naturist, alternative-lifestyle or otherwise unconventional private events. We are the entertainment/service provider for the work we agree to perform; we are not the organizer or host of the underlying adult gathering unless a separate written agreement expressly says otherwise.
sloKaraoke does not provide sexual services, sexual entertainment, escort services, or participation in sexual activity. A permissive or clothing-optional environment does not change the nature of the services we provide.
The client and venue remain responsible for the legality of the event, age restrictions, admission policies, consent and conduct of attendees, venue rules, licenses or permits, and maintaining a safe working environment for our hosts and equipment. We may decline or stop services if conditions become unlawful, unsafe, coercive, threatening or materially different from what was represented to us.
4. Appropriate use of the website
You may use this website for lawful purposes and legitimate inquiries about sloKaraoke services. You may not misuse the site, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with its operation, transmit malware, impersonate another person, or use the inquiry form for harassment, threats, illegal activity or spam.
An inquiry about a lawful adult-friendly event is not prohibited merely because the event is adult-only, clothing-optional, naturist or alternative in nature.
5. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise indicated, the sloKaraoke name, logo, site design, original text, graphics and other original website materials are owned by or used with permission of sloKaraoke and may not be copied or used commercially without permission. Third-party trademarks, song titles, venue names and other third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners.
6. Photos and media
Photos and video shown on this website are used to illustrate the kinds of settings, production and experiences in which sloKaraoke has worked. Their appearance on the site does not imply endorsement by every person depicted or that every pictured event is currently offered as a standard package.
Any use of event photography or video for marketing is handled separately from these website Terms and does not arise merely because someone attends an event.
7. Third-party services and links
Links to third-party websites or services are provided for convenience. sloKaraoke does not control and is not responsible for third-party content, availability, security, privacy practices or terms.
8. No guarantee of uninterrupted website access
We try to keep the website accurate and available, but we do not guarantee that it will always be error-free, complete, current or uninterrupted. We may change, suspend or remove website content without notice.
9. Limitation regarding website use
To the extent permitted by law, sloKaraoke is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising solely from use of, inability to use, or reliance on this website. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Governing law
These website Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Website Terms as the site or our services change. The current version will be posted on this page. Continued use of the website after an update means you are using the site subject to the then-current Terms.
12. Contact
Questions about this Privacy Policy or these Website Terms can be sent to events@sloKaraoke.com or by calling/texting 805-888-2664.
